On Friday, May 18th, 2007 renowned New York City venue Webster Hall hosted the first annual Maroon Effect event, which featured national musical acts, celebrity appearances, a VT merchandise store and an auction. Webster Hall graciously donated use of their venue at no cost.

The net proceeds raised at Maroon Effect 2007 were donated to the Eternal Hokies Scholarship Fund and The David Wright Foundation, who sponsors their Hokie scholarship. The Manhattan Hokies created the Eternal Hokies Scholarship Fund, which provides financial assistance to incoming Virginia Tech students from the Tri-State area. We continue to raise funds on an annual basis to support this worthy cause to create a living legacy for those that were lost while seeking knowledge and those that were lost while imparting it.
